One of our constant struggles as a business owners is how to get online reviews. This task is often time consuming. But it can be made much easier with the right online reputation management service.

For right now though let’s simply talk about how to get online reviews more easily by using a proven process in our businesses.

Now research shows that 7 out of 10 customers will leave you a review if asked. The question is are you asking them consistently enough?

The Reason We Don’t Get Online Reviews

Most often the reason we don’t get online reviews easily is because we never ask for them. So first things first. To get online reviews you need to ask for them. But a little caution here!

We don’t want to give every customer the opportunity to share their experience, right? Sometimes we don’t always perform at our best or we get customers with unreasonable expectations.

What usually makes it so hard to get online reviews is that we are so fearful of asking the wrong person. But at the same time we don’t know who will give us a review.

It’s a Catch-22 situation. Unless, we create a feedback system. What I mean is implementing a way to first get the customer’s feedback, then screen it. If it’s positive then we ask them for a review. If it’s negative we have the opportunity to fix the situation immediately, before it gets online.

It’s a Win-Win Situation

This is truly a win-win situation. First, you get in front of the bad stuff before it goes public online. Second, if it’s positive you know and can now ask them to share it as an online review. This is how to get online reviews more easily.

You need to ask everyone, because you just don’t know who is going to be vocal online. You greatly increase the likelihood that you will get more reviews simply because with your new system you can ask everyone without fear.

We need to take every opportunity as business owners to get online reviews. By implementing a feedback process we allow ourselves to ask everyone. This greatly increases our odds of getting more reviews.

When evaluating an online reputation management service you should make sure they give you the ability to screen the feedback from your customers. By doing so, you protect yourself while also making it much easier for your customers to leave you great reviews online.
